The Avro Heritage Museum is open for pre-booked educational school/youth visits on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In addition, the Museum will open on Tuesday and Thursday from 18:00 - 20:00 during British Summer Time for pre-booked youth club visits (e.g. Brownies, Cubs, Scouts, Cadets etc.).
An educational visit typically includes a guided tour and access to all cockpits (Lancaster, Vulcan, VC10 and Nimrod). The visit is closely aligned to the National Curriculum and can be focused on a particular topic when required (e.g. the principles of flight, World War II, the Cold War etc.).
Educational and youth visits cost £3 per person with complimentary access for group leaders and adult support. The minimum charge per class/group is £70 and the pupil/guide ratio will never be more than 20:1.
Please note, educational and youth visits must be booked in advance.
