Face masks

The wearing of face masks is at the personal discretion of visitors and volunteers.

EXCEPTION: Face masks must be worn inside our cockpits.

Cleanliness

The Museum is thoroughly cleaned before opening and after closing. All surfaces are regularly wiped down with anti-bacterial wipes/spray.

The Museum kindly requests visitors to give others space so that everyone may enjoy their visit safely.

The Avro Heritage Museum offers guided tours for visiting social clubs and societies.

Group visits start at £10 pp and include:

  • A guided tour of the Exhibition Hall

  • A guided tour inside at least one cockpit

Please note that we have a minimum and maximum group size of 6 and 18 visitors respectively for group visits.

The Avro Heritage Museum offers educational visits for schools and youth clubs

An educational visit typically includes a guided tour and access to all cockpits (Lancaster, Vulcan, VC10 and Nimrod). The visit is closely aligned to the National Curriculum and can be focused on a particular topic

The cost of an educational visit is £3 pp with a minimum charge of £70 per visit.

The Avro Heritage Museum warmly welcomes visiting car clubs during the summer season.

 

As part of the visit, car club members have the opportunity to take a group photograph of their vehicles alongside our Vulcan bomber, the only white example of its type in the world.

 

Car club members are charged standard admission prices plus an additional £3 per vehicle for the Vulcan photoshoot experience.
