Woodford Fire Stations - 1

The first fire station was a separate building facing the airfield situated at the Flight Sheds. It had three small vehicle bay doors and built in the late 1920's

The Second Fire station was situated next to the single story E Block, design offices. It had a watch tower with the full view of the extended runway. Built about 1957. On building the second phase of the "New Engineering Block" the three story offices, obscured the view of the runway, from the control tower. A New fire station was required. The building saw its days out as the executives and company garage.
