If you blow over the top sheet of half a sheet of A4 paper, it will rise to the line with the airflow.

You have reduced the pressure above the paper.

The wing is shaped so that the air flows over its top surface at an increased speed and therefore reduced pressure compared with the surrounding atmospheric pressure.

Under the wing, the opposite happens, the air passing under the wing is obstructed and slowed up and the pressure increases compared with the atmospheric pressure.


High pressure will move to Low pressure.
