Honeycomb was used not only for aircraft floor panels. bulkheads and galleys but formed major design features for significant Avro Projects such as the Avro 730 and the Avro 720/731 development/prototype aircraft.

Honeycomb in production - Panels could be made on a large scale. Items of 30ft x10ft could be cured in a single piece. Inspection using an Electronic Vacuum Detector readily detected if any material had not 100% bonded.
