Avro Vulcan XM603 Refurbishment - Phase 1 (6)


(Colour Photographs Top Left & Middle) - During September underside of the aircraft was being painted and in parallel, the roof scaffolding was removed which allowed the detailed markings and finishing touches to be applied.

XM603 Refurbishment Project (Phase 1) Statistics:
• Volunteer team numbers - 42 (in various teams)◦ Elapsed Time - 20 weeks from scaffolding handover (3rd June 2016)
• Total number of manhours expended - 3650 hours
• Quantity of white paint used - 450 litres
• Quantity of other colours (red, blue, black, buff and silver) - 40 Litres
• Number of vinyl transfers and stencils applied - 167
