AVRO 698 VULCAN WING DESIGN CHANGES

The original wing design on the Vulcan was a pure delta shape. Swept at 50 degrees, this was quickly changed on the Vulcan B.Mk.1 production to a compound sweepback. The later B.Mk.2 models had a much more pronounced compound swept wing with an increase in the wing span of some 12 feet.
