Storm Ciara collides with Vulcan XM603

Sadly our beloved Vulcan, XM603, took a bit of a battering by Storm Ciara on Sunday 9th February 2020.

The elevons were in a poor state before restoration with much of the skin missing after years of corrosion. Aluminium sheets were riveted in place and it appears that it is this which has been ripped away by the storm.

Fortunately we have an excellent maintenance team, many of whom have worked on Vulcans and other aircraft such as the Nimrod. They'll take a closer look at the damage and will soon have XM603 looking back to her best!
